Just have to give a huge shoutout to John and his team who delivered the new refrigerator. It completely slipped my mind that I needed to get the old fridge outside so it could be picked up, and they graciously lent me their dolly and waited while I got it outside for them. It was completely my fault and they had other jobs to get to, but they were kind enough to wait in order to save me a trip to the dump. Thanks John and team!

We purchased an Ashley recliner loveseat in SLO this week A very knowledgeable, friendly and no-pressure saleswoman at the SLO store made the experience very pleasant. They had a big inventory of recliners and we could not find a deal half as good anywhere else. A big plus is we bought it on Tuesday and it was delivered today, on Friday. The delivery men were on time, we had several texts letting us know arrival progress and I would give the deliverymen an A+.

We truly value supporting local businesses, and don’t like leaving negative reviews. But there comes a point in time where expectations built over years are not being met. We have been customers for over 30 years, and this experience was disappointing. Paying top dollar for trash compactor, and all the full installation fees, removal fees, delivery fee. On the first visit they could not remove unit, they did not recognize screws on the side panel. This was originally installed by idlers and working for 20 years, so not bad. On the second visit, the new unit was installed. But it is not level (front to back or side to side) and rubs against cabinet each time it is used. This is basic installation work that should have been handled. After decades of doing business with Idlers, this falls short of the quality and detail we’ve come to expect. We hope this feedback is taken constructively.

We finally had to give in and replace our 21-year-old refrigerator. We always do our best to shop local so the logical place to look first was Idlers. From the moment we walked into the store and Mikey greeted us, we told him what we were looking for, and he showed us the three or four models that met our criteria. Mikey was knowledgeable, credible, friendly, and patiently answered all of our questions. We went home to measure, discussed the various options, and decided on a particular model. We checked out Home Depot and Costco as well and chose Idler‘s, not just for the price, but because we were confident that is where we would receive the best customer service. I went to the store the next day, ordered the refrigerator from Mikey, and we are very pleased with the flexibility in their ability to deliver the product to our home. Delivery, removal of our old refrigerator and installation of our new went as smoothly as anticipated. We are very pleased with Idlers and are happy that we chose to purchase locally.

Not only did they carefully install the new refrigerator, but they also went the extra mile to help us relocate a stand-up freezer to make room for it.
