Just looked at the clothes so I have no opinion on the furniture. Got two shirts and a robe, all in store-level quality for 7 bucks. I've never really shopped at thrift stores but I think thats awesome.

Used to love this place, but the last two times I've visited, the back lot was closed for the day at different times, and staff laughed at me when I asked why, and pointed out that they were open for an additional two hours. The hours for the back lot aren't posted anywhere in store that I could see, and none of the staff members could give me an answer when I asked what time it closes for the day.

I understand this is a charity shop but over the past few months their pricing has gone thru the roof! They are selling junk for 4-5 times the price of other thrift stores and even more than new. There are a lot of people in the community that shop at thrift stores out of necessity, this store is doing a disservice to the community by pricing them out. I don’t know who they have in charge of pricing these days but stuff isn’t even going to sell at those prices, their “boutique” items are worse! If you’re looking for deals, this is not the place.

Great store to find goods at a reasonable price . Awesome staff that are always helpful and pleasant. On a recent shopping adventure to the Restore Store, I located three barstools and two well built custom sitting chairs at an incredible price 👍In addition BRENDA and the INCREDIBLE STAFF carefully loaded the five items up. Great customer service and great prices!👍🇺🇸

I used to shop at Habitat For Humanity Restore on White Lane all the time from 2022-2024 on and off. Well, I came here on October 2025 and was left absolutely shocked 😲. All of their items are ridiculously overpriced. I couldn't find a piece of furniture under $300 and a few items were over $1000. I actually saw a painting selling here for $1000 and when I did an image search on Google saw the same thing priced for $500 on ebay. Also many of their small appliances are dirty and gross, yet they want top dollar for them. Like, why would anyone pay $20 for a crockpot incrusted with old caked on food, when I could get a new one at Walmart for $20 or $25. Also clothes used to be a great deal here, but not anymore since it's priced like a boutique now. I don't know who is pricing these items but they need to get their head out of the clouds and back into reality- this is a thrift store in Bakersfield, not an upscale boutique on Rodeo Drive! I understand that the sale of merchandise here goes to help the community, but if things were priced fairly the merchandise would actually move and people would be inclined to shop here and spend their money here. Also the small appliances should at least be wiped down at a bare minimum. You are all are asking for too much, yet giving the bare minimum. Overall, the staff was pleasant here and that's why I gave two stars but I won't be shopping here due to the overpriced items.
