Re: MAYTAG WASHER MODEL # MVW5430MW January 27, 2024 - I bought a MAYTAG Dryer Model MGD4500MW and a MAYTAG Washer Model MVW5430MW from HOME DEPOT. They were delivered & installed a few days later. Dec. 21, 2025 - I called Home Depot to complain that the washer, which cost $ 718.41, and which I purchased just over a year ago. broke down. I was told to call WHIRLPOOL. Dec. 23, 2025. - I called WHIRLPOOL & MAYTAG. They said the warranty is is expired, and offered zero help. On BBB.org, WHIRLPOOL, the maker of MAYTAG, has 5,214 COMPLAINTS in the last 3 years. Their customer review rating is 1 out of 5 stars, based on 1,456 customer reviews. POWER ON initially diagnosed the problem as the sensor, because ALL the lights on the computer board lights, except for the LID LOCK. Cost estimate was $350. POWER ON tried to fix the washer today, but the whole COMPUTER BOARD was broken. Quote is $500. MAYTAG is sub standard quality.

It's amazing how after decades of experience that everything you make just keeps getting worse. How do you build so much experience and unlearn how to make at least adequate products? It's crazy that you intentionally make your products worse, so it has to be Hanlon's razor. I could make your products worse for a salary, if you want. Pay me less than whoever you're paying already. I guarantee I can make worse products to continue Maytag's vision of the future.

I bought a dishwaher and it turned out to be a lemon. Maytag will do nothing to support the product and won't even fix the problems if i buy their overpriced extended warranty because the problems are now documented as preexisting. Nice job, I am out nearly $1000 for a dishwasher that never worked well and died after 1.5 yrs.
