I have been so unhappy with the newer washing machines not getting clothes clean, tearing up clothes, not finishing cycles. I called Friedmans late in the day a few days ago and a salesman named Dave called me right away. He was so knowledgeable and gave me several options including delivery to San Jose. Wow. I was so impressed and really happy to have found a place with so many selections and delivery options. Thank you Dave and thank you Friedmans Appliance!

I've relied on Harold Pimental at Friedmans Appliance multiple times over the last 15 years. I've worked with many sales people at many stores, and his knowledge and service are second to none! My latest purchase is a new washer-dryer set, and my wife is very happy with our choice.

We purchased 5 Miele appliances to take advantage of Miele's Buy More Kitchen Appliance 10% rebate (fridge, cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher). Francisco was our salesman and he went above and beyond to convince us with sticking with all Miele and to help us select each model. We came in roughly knowing which model we would like but he helped steer us into choosing the exact models based on features and prices. Francisco is knowledgeable and demo'd each appliance and pointed out cool features too. He is also in-the-know about future price changes so we knew when to secure the pricing, and explained and coordinated the deposit/payment plan and also final delivery. We appreciated his attentiveness and friendliness. We were originally shopping around for Bosch too and were thinking of mix-and-matching but we ended up going all Miele and am excited to have this installed once our home remodel is complete. The delivery was smooth and coordinated in time for us to submit our rebates before the deadline. The Miele rebate came instantly and was easy to submit. Miele pricing is fixed so every other retailer will be priced the same, but at least the Pleasant Hill sales tax rate is a bit lower than the rest of the Bay Area so you have some savings there. But the main benefit of shopping at Friedman's is seeing all the Miele inventory in person, as well as other major brand names so you can see exactly how different brands/models compare. You also get a dedicated team of brand experts that provide stellar customer service no matter who you talk to. Thank you Francisco and the rest of the Freidman's team!

I bought my Wolf/Sub Zero appliances from Friedman's in December 2024. The invoice totalled $31,677.37. That included the $1975 for an installer that they chose for me that’s a line item in their invoice. My sales agent didn’t return emails within 7 days, twice after I had paid them because I needed some clarification for the cabinet maker. I called twice and left a message for the manager of the business to call me. I never got a return call. Finally one Sunday I went out and meet the manager on duty, AJ has good customer relation skills. I told him I didn’t wasn't to deal with the salesperson. He accepted this although made excuses for him. There was ALOT of communication trouble with the installer they picked for me. AJ and I talked often about this, but finally the kitchen was ready and I wanted the appliances installed. Right then, I should have found another installer. The installation was very problematic. My new counters and freshly sanded floors were not protected. I showed AJ those pictures and he agreed with me. The correct hood was not sold to me(sales person’s fault) so the installer would need to come back. I said I did not want that installer to return. AJ did get Friedman’s to pay another installer. I had paid the first installer in full. At that time, AJ mentioned that Friedman’s is not responsible for the work of the installer(that they chose and included on their final invoice). Hmmm, interesting. When I loaded the dishwasher from my first dinner party, I found out that the dishwasher was not leveled or secured properly. The top rack kept rolling out. When I told AJ about this, he mentioned that he (as an individual salesperson) is no longer using that particular installer. When I wrote him about the ovens not leveled(the new appliance person mentioned that), he never replied. The whole appliance business is somewhat shady. They can sell your appliances if you are not quite ready but if you cancel the order there is a significant “restocking fee”. Aj was, by far, the best of the bunch, but still surrounded by alot of dysfunction. Go in with your eyes open and get everything in writing about whose responsible for what.

My household bought a heat pump dryer here in Dec 2025. Excellent customer service, both before and after purchase. There was a major technical issue with the first unit we bought, which was an item returned by a previous customer for a different reported issue. Once we documented the issue, Friedman's made it right completely and promptly. We are very happy with the purchase. In particular, salesman Iggy was highly knowledgeable, informative, friendly, and honest. Another colleague of his spent considerable time knowledgeably answering our questions about heat pump dryers, with zero sales pressure. We were impressed that this level of customer service is still available. Friedman's must be doing something right to be able to keep front-line retail staff who know and care about their jobs this much.
