I had major issues with my Miele appliances after the company I purchased them from (Pirch) went out of business. I bought the appliances in 2021 as we prepared for a complete house remodel that took 3 years. The appliances were not installed until August of 2023 and not used for another year when we finally moved into our new home. I was left without the extra year of warrantee because Pirch went belly-up I was left with no extra warranty, confusing manuals, and extremely unhelpful Miele customer service. When I finally tried to use my built in coffee maker, my steam oven and my regular oven. Then I purchase on-line an extra rack glide for my oven. The rack cost $475, and fell apart on the first use when I tried to slide it out from a hot oven. It fell apart due to poor welding. I was refused a refund!!! I couldn't believe it The rep told me my oven must have been to hot and it was my fault. I gave up trying to reason with several cs reps and even more tired of trying to decipher the manuals and calling Miele Customer Service. I had a brillant idea to call the nearest Miele store, which for me is 1 1/2 hours drive from my house. Calling the store and getting Valerie Buntova on the line everything changes. Valerie has been absolutely amazing. She looked up all the Miele items I have purchase which is 7 different appliances and even a Mangle! She arranged a replacement for the faulty oven rack (that had been improperly welded and fell apart in my hands after cooking in the oven), sent me how-to-videos, offered FaceTime help, an patiently walked me through using my coffee maker, setting the time after daylight savings time. Which was not easy. After never using the coffee maker, I got a message saying my descaling unit needed replacing! How in the heck am I supposed to do that ??? I couldn't buy pass that hurdle so I called Valerie. She remembered me right away, set up an appointment and walked me through using faceTime. She then offered to do another FT call to help me learn my steam oven and regular oven--(I think it would be easier to fly the Space Shuttle to the Moon than figure out how to use these very high tech appliances. Valerie never ONCE made me feel embarrassed or overwhelmed. She always remembers me even months later, and she truly knows her stuff! She knows more than the Chef at Pirch whose class I took and did not teach much. Valerie is the reason I can actually use my appliances. She renewed my faith in Miele which I had long given up on. And it wasn't because of lack of trying on my part. Valerie is kind, patient knowledgable , and a rare gem in Customer Service. She gave me the encouragement to keep trying because once you learn it, it makes your life in kitchen so much fun! I hope Miele is aware of her talent and is very, very lucky to have her as an employee. I bow to Miele for hiring such an outstanding person. Please pass my gratitude on to Valerie. She has changed my life in the Kitchen and has given me the confidence to do all the things the salesman sold me on when buying all of the appliances i purchased made by Miele. Thank you, thank you.
