6/19/26 I purchased a washer and dryer from Southwest Appliance, there were numerous issues with delivering the products purchased. This was not accomplished in a timely fashion. I received the washer before the dryer. I made the purchase on June the 11th, it was paid for in full. They delivered the washing machine about a week before the dryer was available. I spoke with Rick who advised me he would not have the dryer and pedestals delivered until they were delivered to the store on the 19th. He had the dryer and pedestals today in his possession on the 19th. He said he would not deliver until the 23rd of June on Tuesday. I offered to pick them up to alleviate the delivery problem. He stated he could not deliver until the 30th at 3. I had hoped since I went and picked them up that he could send someone here to hook them up. The dryer was defective, the door would not close and stay closed. He was not cooperative at all. He was rude and offered no resolution. He also tried to charge another $599.and some change for the pedestals when I thought I had paid in full for everything. 6/22/26 I just received a call from Rick asking me to pay a balance of $490.92 for my pedestals. He berated me for my review and stated it was not true. I stated it was my experience as the consumer when dealing with Southwest Appliance. Because there is no competition in this area, consumers are at the mercy of family owned small business. One has to deal with sales, delivery persons and dates that are up to the store where the purchase was made. Rightfully so, it’s their schedule, their ability to deliver. There is nothing that I can do as consumer. 6/23/26 I had an employee call Southwest Appliance today to determine whether they were scheduled to come and hook up the washer and dryer. Rick replied an adamant "NO", he stated he no longer wanted to deal with me. Now I'm stuck with a dryer that is not hooked up or that won't close. Be careful consumers not to bruise Rick’s ego, his self esteem cannot handle it. Rather than dealing with the issues at hand, he was unable to get passed himself and be accountable. I would not recommend this store to anyone in need of appliances. Yvonne Tree

Sold me, great delivery (no damage) and perfect install of energy star dryer within a week of ordering. Always try to use independents bc they give us extra care without rushing.

Compared to some of the other poor reviews, my issue is minor, but still a pain in my neck and a waste of my time (like this review). I had a new stacked W/D installed. Since the closet is shallow, I requested 90-degree elbow hoses for the washer. Only after the installers left and I was putting shelves back in the closet, did I notice I had not received 90-degree elbow hoses, instead I had received straight hoses that were absolutely jammed to the max against the back wall of my closet. I contacted my sales guy and was told those were the included washer hoses and SW Appliance did not have 90-degree hoses. Odd, if the hoses were "included" why was I charged $24.99 and why are 90-degree washer hoses listed on the SWA web page? A first class operation would have immediately offer me a refund for the straight hoses ... and maybe even offered to go get some 90-degree hoses and install them. Well I asked for and got the refund. Now I'm looking forward wasting my time shopping for and installing new hoses. Anyone want to help an old guy move almost 400 pounds of W/D?

With the help from Rick Escalante I was able to completely upgrade all my appliances over a period of several months. Rick arranged delivery and installation and I live about 25 miles away in the mountains. Answered all my questions. Very knowledgeable about all the items I bought. He asked questions to find out how I would be using some of the appliances and recommended the appliances he thought would work best. I went with those recommended and I am very happy with the choices and the great prices I was offered. Great place to do business in the 4 corners! Thanks Rick!

Very disappointing experience. I purchased a dryer through this store after providing the information and measurements they requested. They assured me it would fit, but the unit they sold me turned out to be too large for my built-in space. It's clear their measurements and guidance were inaccurate. What's worse is how they handled it afterward. Instead of taking any responsibility or even engaging in a real conversation, they've been dismissive and defensive--telling me it was entirely my problem to deal with. That's not how a professional appliance store should treat customers, especially when their own advice contributed to the issue. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds says everything. In this case, they chose to deflect rather than help. I would strongly caution anyone expecting knowledgeable guidance or accountability from this store.
