ABW Appliances Showroom: North Bethesda

I went into the showroom to order a new Miele microwave. I have custom cabinetry and the dimensions were off by 1/8 of an inch. Sandy said I should be fine but I decided to pay the $50.00 to have a custom measurement done as I don’t want to get stuck with a microwave that didn’t fit. They came out to measure and after several voice mails to Sandy, I never heard back. I finally showed up in the show room and he was off but another sales clerk got me the information and said it won’t fit. I left Sandy a message to send me the pictures that were taken so I could have my cabinet maker look at it. He never sent them and never answered my message. Then I finally got a hold of him and said find a microwave that might work and he said he would and never got back to me. I went with another company who came out free of charge, said the microwave would fit and I ordered it from M and M appliance in Alexandria. I continue to ask Sandy for his managers e mail and I get nothing. He said the fee was non refundable and hasn’t answered my e mail; what a surprise. I will never use ABW again, while i understand the fee is non refundable, I feel ABW did not live up to their end of the cost. Lack of communication and follow up.

I'm really sorry to have to write this review, but I gave these guys every chance to make it right, and they have totally failed. We bought a relatively high-end Bosch diswasher in the late Fall of 2024 and it has been a lemon since day one. ABW came out several times to fix it, which is great, but then a month or two later it would break again. They refused to replace it. Finally, I'm ready to buy a new dishwasher just to end this nightmare, but ABW won't even give me a discount for a new one. Basically, they sold me a lemon and won't take responsibility. That's horrible.

What a pleasure to be able to talk with not only the salesperson but the person in charge of deliveries. Everything was done on the promised schedule and the men who brought my item upstairs were fabulous. They knew exactly what they were doing and were careful not to damage my parquet. When I had trouble finding the serial number, after they had left, I called them. The man who was in the delivery truck was able to explain to me exactly where the number was! THANK YOU

Terrible Service and Communication! Do yourself a favor — don’t waste your money or time! It’s been two months since ABW Appliance ordered a part for my brand-new fridge, and guess what? They’ve now rescheduled for the fourth time. Every visit is just another delay, and I honestly don’t think they know what they’re doing. The whole experience has been frustrating and disappointing.
