We bought Maytag assumed quality, and long lasting. Gas range and Dishwasher, both are cheaply built. Nothing we anticipated. Both not the low end either. Range door made in layers, and stainless skin cover lifts off the door, sticks out and has cut my wife. Absolutely no customer service or support. Dishwasher door won't latch, new latch and have done everything possible, door won't latch properly. Online parts sent the wrong parts using serial number for the purchase. No offer for support. Sadly we tried to buy American made, thinking quality and lasting a long time. NO! We suggest not buying Maytag products. No customer service and no quality. Just throw away products after a couple years. Our family member retired from upper management of Maytag, he would be appalled by the company today.

Is there a zero rating available because this company doesn’t deserve one star. From the moment I purchased this washing machine I’ve had issues with it. Let me start from the beginning. I purchased a Maytag because of the name. I heard it was reputable and maintained its value. I purchased the washing and dryer set with Bluetooth capability. Yes the Bluetooth works, but the damn thing barely washes. It doesn’t sense the clothes until after 5 restarts or more. From the beginning I’ve been calling repairs and they’d come out and service it. It would be the same problem. I wrote emails, complained asked for a replacement…. Nothing. I had to call off of work to be home so they could repair the washing machine (single mom life). We played phone tag a lot due to me working. Anyway, it was a headache. They finally said they’d replace the motherboard. Did they NOPE! Finally, married with support years later. My husband called and told them what was going on. They told him I never contacted them even though I have emails and a 5 year warranty. In addition the washer has a 10 year warranty for parts. Service guy came in and said he’d have to charge me as much as the washing machine cost. The sad thing is that they have records of emails and phone calls regarding the SAME problem from day 1 with this washing machine and won’t assist me. I work hard for my money being a dedicated educator and single mom. I WILL NEVER PuRChASE ANOTHER MAYTAG and if you read this post you shouldn’t either. The warranty is a scam and the company is not worried about QUALITY only the additional unneeded features.

Bought a $575 Maytag washer July 2023 at Lowes Wetumpka, AL and the control board went out May 2025, not even 2 years later. I contacted the corporate office about sending someone to replace/repair it. Of course its out of warranty. Maytag used to be one of the best, now its junk. The reputation of this company is as dependable as their products are now, and they no longer are.

If I could give maytag a less than one star, I would. Have a microwave that I have replaced the door on, at my own cost. The new door did the same thing as the first one and after spending countless hours on the phone was told to "go pound sand". I would never recommend or purchase anything from maytag. The product is cheap and the customer service is worse. Save your money and time with any other brand.
