Custom Appliance Wholesalers

Purchased a Coast Air through-the-wall air conditioner from Custom Appliance in May of 2024. It worked for two summers. This year, the compressor does not work. Had a licensed HVAC contractor examine the unit and learned it can’t be repaired. Coast has no physical address. They appear to be only importers of cheaply made air conditioners. All Custom Appliance’s air conditioner brands are similar to this. Save yourself some trouble and buy a better-made air conditioner brand through Grand Appliance or Abt!

I had good service placing the AC order, delivery and installation. The remote was defective and the installer said he'd have another sent. When it didn't arrive I called and they sent a replacement that was the wrong model for my AC. I called again and was told it was correct, but it didn't work. Another was to be sent but it never arrived. I called again and left a message a week ago, but no call back. It's been six weeks and I still don't have a working remote.

Avoid this outfit - came to replace “new” washer/dryer unit 3 times, all with different issues. Then when they finally got one that mostly worked, they installed the incorrect hook up lines, inadvertently shrinking clothes. Use ANY other appliance company - this group is not concerned with customer service in the slightest.

My construction project was dirty and I had a few delays but Jim had my back and kept my appliances on standby the entire time. Once I was ready my appliances arrived the next business day. I asked them to install the appliances and that’s exactly what they did! Actually installed the appliances. They actually drilled a nice hole for the drain tube for the dishwasher and attached it to the disposal under the sink. They also cut out the vent hole for the microwave. Now the microwave actually vents out of the house!! They worked with my contractor to make sure the gas line was at the correct height for the stove as well. My hats off to the Custom Appliance installers!!! They took their time so everything fit perfectly. My last experience from a big box store installer was nothing like this. Big box stores only plug in. Take it from a real estate broker and real estate investor. I know the difference. Truth is a worked for a developer who builds custom homes a couple years ago and this is where he buys his appliances. Now I know why he buys from them. I won’t go anywhere else moving forward for appliances.
