I can’t recommend Lucy’s enough! My Frigidaire dishwasher wasn’t draining, and I was deep into DIY repairs—cleaning filters and checking for clogs. I called to buy a replacement drain line check valve, but after speaking with Dan, he saved me a ton of extra work. He asked a few smart questions and suggested I check if the sump motor impeller was stuck. ​I took the cover off and sure enough, Dan was spot on—a piece of broken glass had seized the impeller. I still need that check valve, but the dishwasher is actually pumping water again thanks to his expert advice. It’s rare to find a place more interested in solving your problem than just making a quick sale. Ask for Dan!

Best place to by appliances, family owned and run, there employees deliver your purchase and have a reliable installer / repairmen. We just bought our 5th GE Appliance from them. No hard sell, informed very friendly. Math prices or beats them. I'm adding to this review several months later in January 2026. My GE Profile washer lid broke, Dan went the extra mile to get me one and was able to have one at no cost. Now I only have to pay for a service call.Weve bought 5 appliances from them. The hands on and friendly service you can only get from a family owned business. A big box store would never help you like they do. Dan you've earned our business several times over. Just another 5 star review for Lucy's Appliances in Zion, Illinois! As a customer since the early '90s, if you're in the southeastern area of Wisconsin and northeastern area of Illinois, you should definitely shop at Lucy's. Many customers love them and are return customers. Since they're a family-run business, they don't have a high turn over in their staff. Over the years, Dan Lucy has probably saved us thousands of dollars - a small portion in discounts but mostly in repair advice. He would rather help his customers check first if it's an easy repair prior to buying a new appliance. Obviously, you have to be mechanically inclined in these situations but to me - that's customer service! Many thanks to Lucy's Appliance for your business in our community!

Called Lucy’s on Monday and told the gentleman on the phone I been smelling gas in my kitchen next to the oven for a few weeks. Gentleman asked how old the oven was and I said about 10 years maybe and tried to sell me a new oven. Asked him if he had gas detection equipment and he said no but said you could open the oven and take it apart and it’s ‘500 or so pieces’ and try to find the leak myself or buy a new oven. He then said was it a GE and I said yes then he said probably call GE and they might come out. I said thanks then dialed the gas company they came out and determined there was leaks on the flex tubing connection’s. The gas company employee was very nice and saved our lives. I would never recommend and or shop here again. The gentleman cared more about selling a new oven even though ours was fine. It was just the connection from the gas line to the oven line That was leaking. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Dan and Rita were so very helpful and we are so happy that we went to them! We expressed what we needed (as a large family) in a new washing machine and made our purchase based on their recommendation and we couldn't be happier with our choice! I will never go to another 'big box' store again, Lucy's price was on par / better than any other store in the area and the level of attentiveness that was given just cannot be matched!
