Fabulous showroom. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Made the process quick and simple. Also knowing they service products should something happen provides peace of mind.

We had a wonderful experience at Slagers. Great customer service and very knowledgeable. We bought four new appliances. They are beautiful.

My (then) 83 year old mom bought a Hotpoint (who has even heard of this brand?) washing machine from Slager Appliances over 5 years ago. From the day she got it home it was TERRIBLE! It has never been balanced and moves feet (not inches) out of place every time she uses it. She called from the beginning to ask them to come rebalance it or replace it. They were NEVER willing to help her or take responsibility for the fact that they took advantage of an 83 year old woman who lives alone who was trying to support a local, family owned business. She hired repair people who have told her it cannot be rebalanced or fixed because the inner drum was faulty from the start. I went to high school with the Slagers, so it IS a local family. Finally, this week, my mom purchased a new LG machine that is highly rated from Lowe’s. If you want to get a crappy appliance and crappy customer service, go to Slager Appliances. If you’re NOT looking for a crappy washing machine, I’m sure they can sell you other crappy appliances, particularly if you’re an elderly woman whom they think will never write an online review. My mom received an expensive, crappy washing machine in exchange for this truthful review.

Loyal Local Customer — Left Deeply Disappointed As someone who genuinely believes in supporting local businesses, we have consistently chosen this company over big-box chains — purchasing three appliances from them over the past five years. We expected that loyalty to translate into honest, trustworthy service. It did not. When our GE dishwasher developed a leak, we paid their $137 service call fee only to be handed a quote of $340 for parts and labor. Something didn't sit right, so we did our own research, identified the problem ourselves — a cracked spray arm — purchased the replacement part for $22, and fixed it without their help. That's a $318 markup on a straightforward fix any competent technician should have caught and quoted honestly. For a company that benefits from loyal, repeat customers who actively choose them over larger competitors, this kind of exploitation is a particular betrayal. Whether this reflects incompetence or a deliberate attempt to upsell, neither is acceptable. We will not be returning. If you're considering shopping local here in hopes of better, more personal service — learn from our experience and look elsewhere.
