Incompetence and failure to take responsibility for their workers' mistakes are the reason for this review. Long story: When we first bought our lake rental house, we were still living in TX. We had a backup generator installed (by someone else) and were told by someone at O'Neal that we would need a bigger propane tank. We had already discovered that the existing tank was located on the neighbors' property, so we told them to put the new one on our property. (The property line is clearly marked because the neighbors had a survey done when they bought their property several years ago.) But we told them DO NOT put the tank on top of our water line, and told them how to locate the water line. Well, they put it DIRECTLY on top of the water line! Had to have a new water line dug, at much expense. Fast forward 2 years, the neighbor is having underground sprinklers installed on his property. They cut our propane line, over 2 feet inside neighbors' property line, because the O'Neal person had not moved the line along with the tank. He merely tied into the old line on the neighbors' property. The sprinkler guys turned off our gas and called someone in to do the repair. When we found out about it, we agreed to pay for the repair and then called O'Neal to request reimbursement. (If the sprinkler guy didn't call them, maybe he knew better?) O'Neal said it's not their fault and they aren't paying for it, and said that we (who didn't make the arrangements) should have called them to do it. But I'm sure they would have made us pay for it anyway, since they claim it wasn't their fault. We are planning to switch to FerrellGas as soon as the tank level gets low enough. Their rates are cheaper anyway.
Update: I've been calling about getting a refund for the 30% of propane that was left in the (500 gallon) tank. Finally, today, I was told that we don't get a refund because we "went to another company". What?? We paid for that fuel. Trying to find contract, but that sounds illegal. State AG might be getting a call.
