Melrose Hardware

My kids left the downstairs fridge freezer open wrecking it. We garden and needed a replacement fast. We talked with Karl's here in Sauk Centre and got the typical service as two times before. We know nothing can't find what you want and basically no customer service. So we opted to Melrose and Wow!!!!! Very helpful any info I wanted and gave my wife and I time alone to discuss and decide. I will be back for any appliance i need!!!!

My brother entered this store to search for basic household items. Upon entering he was asked what he was searching for and told the worker that he was just browsing, due to not being in the store before. The older female worker then stated that she was going to, "follow him around the store." There was absolutely no reason or grounds, for this type of hostile behavior from the employee. My brother felt both threatened and unjustly treated, that he ended up leaving the store. He also told the lady that he had planned on spending money there and would no longer be doing so, due to her behavior. This type of customer service or serious lack there of, should be met with a performance review of the employee's actions and be dealt with immediately. This is very disgraceful behavior, especially in a small town establishment!

Walked into business with some local chamber of commerce dollars to look around and see if there was anything i could purchase. Was immediately asked what I was looking for, responded with "just browsing". Asked immediately after what i was browsing for responded with just browsing in general. Was told that i would have to be followed like i was a common criminal. Showed the chamber of commerce dollars and told her that i had intended to spend them possibly at this store. I then said that was no longer the case. I have NEVER been treated in such a manner in a small town in my 30 years on this earth. I believe in shopping local as much as you can but business's such as this deserve no money and no time from the local community if thus is how they treat customers.
