Bill and the whole team are so wonderful. We've relied on Island Appliance Repair for years and they never let us down. Bill and Bill Sr. have fixed our oven, dishwasher, washer, dryer and fridge, saving us thousands. They're always there fast, and fixing things in an affordable way with great customer service!

Loved the service! We had a washing machine fail on us during the past snowstorm Sunday 12/14. I called the next day on Monday and they were able to get a tech to us that very day. Family owned business. Professional Staff. Bill was our tech and he was able to take down the dryer "by himself", though I offered, and replace the broken part, put everything back as it was, all within an hour. Price was reasonable for the amount of work. Would highly recommend using them for all your appliance repair needs.

My dishwasher was foaming worse than a racoon with rabies so I gave them a call... Who answered the call you may ask? Standing a statuesque 6 feet tall with eyes the color of a Nordic glacier and hair that could sell shampoo on charisma alone, Billy didn’t walk into my home—he floated in on a cloud of Freon-scented competence. Tools in hand (and a smile that could probably jump-start a microwave), Billy diagnosed my dishwasher faster than I could offer him a glass of water, which he politely declined with a voice so soothing I’m convinced it realigned my chakras. All in all, I may have had a little too much fun writing this review but I highly recommend them and Billy was a very knowledgeable and friendly young man.

Easy to schedule, the tech was super fast, knowledgeable and friendly. I had drier work done but I would imagine they can handle all kinds of stuff so definitely worth your time to call them for any home appliances.

I had one of the worst experiences ever with Island Appliance Repair and want to warn others before they go through the same. I brought them in to look at two appliances, my built in refrigerator and my wine cooler, and both situations ended in complete frustration, lost time, and suspicions of outright dishonesty. Before they even arrived, my fridge was powering on normally, though it wasn’t cooling. Their technician removed the upper cabinetry and did something behind the panel, then suspiciously told me to turn off the breaker after the inspection, almost like he knew something had gone wrong. Only after their visit did the control panel mysteriously stop working, which had never been an issue before. That alone raises red flags. Worse, they told me the control panel needed replacing without identifying any of the other serious issues. Later, a KitchenAid technician came in and immediately found a refrigerant leak and visible yellowing on the mid-barrier from what they said was coil burning. These were obvious and basic diagnostic checks that Island Appliance completely missed or ignored. Their plan was to install a new control board, and if it didn’t fix the problem, they’d just remove it. That means they were planning to experiment with expensive parts on my appliance without doing a full diagnosis or taking any real accountability. It was completely unprofessional and felt like a gamble with my safety and money. They also looked at my wine cooler and claimed they performed a freon recharge, but it never cooled properly again. Even worse, the technician only spent about 10 to 15 minutes total on the job, which is nowhere near enough time for a proper recharge. A real recharge should take at least 45 minutes and include checking for leaks, vacuuming the system, and testing pressures. I seriously doubt they even did the work. It felt more like they said they did it just to justify billing. When I refused to pay for their services, they threatened to sue me. That fell apart fast once I made it clear I wasn’t falling for it. I later blocked their attempts to charge me. This company is either completely incompetent or dishonest, maybe both. They caused more problems than they solved, missed obvious issues, possibly damaged my refrigerator, and tried to charge me for work that was either done wrong or not at all. Do not call them. Save yourself the headache and go with someone reputable.
