Pinckney Hardware

Updated review (7-1-26) Although it took a lot of conversations and waiting, Mike did make it right. Pinckney came and took the Speed Queen washer, let us pick out a different one and refunded the difference in price between the Speed Queen and the LG we chose. I greatly appreciate it, so it's only right that I ammend my review. I still say stay away from Speed Queen whether this store or another. Beware. Trying to buy from a local/small business was a HUGE mistake in this case. We purchased a Speed Queen washer because that brand is supposed to be reliable and reputable. Unfortunately, this machine has been a nightmare. If I wrote everything that has taken place, this review would be pages long. Summary; the washer was delivered on April 15th, and by May 29th a technician has been to our house 6 times! We told Mike (the owner) that we wanted to return this machine on multiple occasions and he blatantly refuses. He says " it doesn't work like that" and to take it up with speed queen directly. Speed Queen has also been a nightmare, stringing us along, wanting us to jump through hoops and get a second opinion from another technician from an entirely different store. Mike claims he is following the manufacturer's policies, but a good businessman would take this machine back and deal with it himself knowing how dissatisfied the customer is. But hey, not only does he have the old washer, he has the money from the sale, so why should he care about happy customers.Shame!

I have a dishwasher that wasn't draining and still under warranty. Sean from Pinkney Hardware in Penn Yan, NY was assigned to assess the problem (did not purchase the dishwasher from Pinkney). He determined the problem immediately, ordered the part while he was here, all under 15 minutes. He came back the following week with the part, installed it, made adjustments on the previous installation (not done by Pinkney) in under an hour. Working with him was a really good experience. He is a very competent and personable technician and would highly recommend him for any repair needs on appliances and electric issues.

We were having issues with our fairly new oven that was purchased at a different retailer (next time we will be purchasing from Pinckney!). We contacted the manufacturer and got connected to Pinckney Service Dept for the repair. Our experience with Pinckney has been excellent! The customer service team is friendly and helpful. The repair was scheduled and completed at a convenient time. A huge shout out to Drew the Service Technician for his knowledge and skill as well as his customer care.

I will never shop anywhere else for appliances. They price-matched without hesitation and even called me when the refrigerator I wanted was running low on stock. Nicole was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process as we purchased all of our appliances for our new home. This was hands-down the best customer service I’ve ever received. Even when I made a design mistake, they handled swapping out my washer, dryer, and refrigerator seamlessly and completely stress-free. On top of that, there’s real peace of mind knowing they service everything they sell. The delivery team was exceptional as well. Very satisfied customer!
