I bought a refrigerator for 300 dollars , clean and it worked great in the store and for a few weeks, it started to build condensation and it was raining in the fridge , freezer looked like the ice age but at least it was still cold. The fridge part is now not working at all. I’ve had this for less than 3 months. She will not fix it and the 30 day warranty is over. She sol me a more expensive fridge because she sold the one I was going to get the next day. She play no speaks English when she doesn’t want to help. STAY AWAY FROM KATES APPLIANCES IN MONROE NC

I bought a Whirlpool washer July 28 and it was delivered next day. Worked fine for one week and stopped agitaing and completing the wash cycle. The store repair guy took machine and brought a replacement because it would cost too much to fix, he said. I put in a load as soon as he left. Returned to my flooded laundry room and slipped and fell. Nothing broke, fortunately but sore for a week. Immediately, called the guy to come back, clean up the mess and fix the washer. He took it and returned next day with the washer. Now it is not agitating and completing the wash cycle. I have to manually do it. The store owner won't take it back and refund me because the original washer warranty has expired. The replacement washer is not under warranty. Buyer Beware!!

Great service from the guy who sold me fridge. But when it broke ($200) part failure 5 days after warranty ended The lady that normally runs it acted like she didn’t understand English and kept giving me a phone # for a parts place in Charlotte. Won’t ever do business with them again. Had she spoke to me and told me I was SOL that my warranty was over I would’ve accepted that but it seemed like a game.

(see edit below) I have been to 5 other used appliance stores in the area and nobody has prices like this. I bought a washer for $179 out the door, brought it home and it works great. Super nice woman helped me out! Thanks! Edit: super nice woman turns into super mean, confusing woman 80 days after the sale. She will speak to you in English and Spanish to confuse you. She was speaking a 3rd language or just gibberish. She had my wife in tears and will not honor the warranty. Don't go here. Don't get taken like we did.
