Mihalko's

Absolutely terrible experience. This company rushed through the job just to “meet a deadline” that they went past anyway and it shows in the poor quality of their work. Corners were cut everywhere — sloppy finishes, uneven surfaces, and nothing done with proper care or attention to detail. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who values quality or professionalism.

Everyone that I dealt with from Mihalko's was professional, courteous and helpful. They kept me updated about weather delays regarding my roof replacement, and completed the work in a timely manner once they were able to begin. They helped me by coordinating with my insurance company, and always answered any questions that I had. I appreciate everything they did for me, including cleaning up when the repairs were finished.

I believe that a thorough review and honest feedback can really help others when deciding on services, so here’s my experience with Mihalko’s General Contracting. Overall, I’d give them a solid 4/5. In June 2024, while I was abroad, my neighbor noticed water on the side of my house and alerted me to a possible leak. When I returned, my insurance adjuster confirmed the leak and recommended immediate water treatment to prevent mold. Mihalko’s responded quickly, finding the leak damage, removing the affected items, spraying for mold, and using fans to dry things out. Unfortunately, they had to remove the laundry room floor, exposing the house’s foundation. After the first night of having my home open, I asked them to put in a temporary floor to keep pests out. They did so the next day, using plastic as a barrier. However, the temporary fix ended up lasting for about a month and a half, leaving me without a floor or bathroom. During that time, I wish I had been more involved in planning the renovations while waiting for the work to begin. Instead, I found myself reaching out to them for updates, as they didn’t communicate much about the next steps. Once the updates started, I had limited input on how I wanted the bathroom and laundry room designed, which surprised me since I thought it would be part of the usual process. Looking back, I’m happy with the final result, but there were a few bumps along the way. For anyone planning to work with them, I’d recommend being clear about what you want, asking for measurements, and setting deadlines. The contractors, especially Tony, Tom, and Kevin, were great to work with, but the project took longer than expected for such small spaces.

It took awhile for things to come together; however it wasn't Mihalko's fault. The insurance company sort of dragged their part on this claim. Mihalko's were ALWAYS helpful & professional. Bill Roberts was the last guy here to do the flooring. Very efficient, customer service oriented & prompt if anything came up that wasn't planned. The floor looks GREAT& Bill Roberts made sure to come back the next day on his own to check for any air bubbles etc. He was very thorough in explaining each step & told us to call if we had any questions. A tree fell on the back of our home two days before Christmas during a windstorm. They were very fast at coming to patch the holes in our metal roof (there was ice, snow and rain) after the tree was removed. Once the actual work began everything was done in a timely manner, and any questions I had were promptly answered. I am a very picky person with cleanliness, and after they wrapped up all the work they cleaned everything up, and then some! Much to my surprise they cleaned all the branches from the front of the roof that were stuck on the snow caps and the front gutters, and also swept up the driveway. I would absolutely recommend Mihalko's work.
