Bob's appliances has the best customer service and response times out of any appliance store in Sumter. They treat you like family whether it's a simple repair or a major appliance purchase. The repair technicians who arrived at my home were nothing short of exceptional. They showed up exactly when promised. More importantly, they conducted themselves with the kind of professionalism that's becoming increasingly rare in today's service industry. These weren't just skilled technicians; they were respectful guests in my home. Perhaps most impressive was their straightforward approach to pricing and repair recommendations. The technician thoroughly explained what was wrong, what needed to be fixed, and provided a clear estimate before beginning any work. No surprise charges, no unnecessary upselling – just honest, transparent service. Bob's Appliance takes care of their customers and when the time comes to buy a new machine I know my family will be buying our appliance with them.

We were in a pinch on Memorial Day weekend. Showed up to our lake house for the holiday weekend, only to find our fridge had died. Called Bob’s Appliances @4:45pm Friday (right before closing for the holiday). It would have been easy to push us off, but Bob gave me his cell, texted me pictures of what they had in stock, we picked one out, and he personally delivered and set it up within a couple of hours. Really saved us from having a rough holiday. Appreciate his willingness to go the extra mile.

The owner John is rude and misogynistic. I have video of him just yelling at me after I called multiple times to let them know the dryer that they sold me smelled. Every single load of clothes smelled gross! They lied about their visits. They forged the paperwork associated with the dryer and it’s repairs and their visits. They then came and took my dryer from my business and did not call me or contact me for weeks. They did not answer my calls. It was an act of God for me to get my money back from John who insisted that I trust him although he tried, although not successfully, to screw me out of my money at the end. Do not use this business unless you like being yelled at when you call to tell them there’s a problem with their product. I purchased a dryer from them on August 20. I called about it a week or so later saying there was a nasty smell coming from the clothes when they came out of it. I did not get this resolved or my money back until December!!
