Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Been going to this Ollies for 4 years now. Checkout staff cashiers are ALWAYS friendly and accurate! And if you have a Return they don't act like you are interrupting their routine. There are different floor managers, most are always helpful and friendly. Only had 2 past issues. I was purchasing the last 2 camping chairs they had. One was missing the attached pillow. I asked a floor manager if they could at least markdown the one that had the missing part. He said they don't markdown anything that might be re-ordered in the future(?). So, I had to pay the same Full Price for an item that had a missing part as the one that didn't! Go figure! Thought maybe even a 1.00 dollar $ discount would have been nice! But didn't happen. Another time I wanted to buy an item that was slightly broken, but still o.k. for me. Asked for a very small markdown. I was told No, "This is Ollie's, everything is already reduced" (?). I think that manager was a visiting senior person, only saw them once. It was obviously broken compared to the others, but usable.

Bottom Line: It's an OUTLET store! Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. Store cleanliness and organization varies from day to day. Most of the time employees are friendly and willing to help. However it's always an adventure. I've found more stuff in that store that I did not realize that I needed than you can imagine. Pull the stick out of your rear end, and enjoy the ride. Embrace the adventure.

I do have to admit they have good stuff here, I often shop here from time to time. I don't often buy snacks here since the first time I bought candy from here and it didn't taste as good as the candy you buy at Walmart or other stores. I do but them from time to time to munch on. This time was no different, I bought a kitKat bar from there for $0.99, may I say, they don't look good at all, they looked as if they were expired and looked like if someone ate it, they might get diarrhea. Needless to say, I threw them all away! Before this incident I would give them 4 stars because of the lack of food/snack, but after seeing this, every time I look at the picture, my stomach feels funny like I ate it or something!

This Ollie’s is my favorite bargain / discount store. It’s well organized and the staff are friendly. The selection has always been good with great prices on things I can’t find anywhere else. Every time I’m shopping in Madison I like to stop by this Ollie’s to see what’s new. Also the Ollie’s rewards app works fairly well and I’ve used several of there digital coupons to make things I get from here even cheaper.
