I started working with Jose Aquirre at Benjamin Plumbing Supply at the end of April with a tight time restriction. He met with me as a walk in and helped me with my needs demonstrating patience and knowledge. I left with the understanding I'd check some dimensions with our bath remodel and to finalize my decision on tub trim, while he checked on availability of the tub.
The very next day I didn't hear from him so I called leaving three messages with no call back. Since time was of the essence, I decided to go back as a walk in the following day (Wednesday) to get my order in. When he walked up to me, he didn't even remember me!! And when I mentioned I never heard from him (he knew of my tight schedule), he just gave me excuses as if he had no control over his schedule. I got thru my project only to have him repeatedly ignore my calls and emails. His refusal to not reply in a timely manner (or not reply at all) for the entire duration left me frustrated, disappointed - and in a timeline bind with my subs.
I am writing this now because I decided to return to BPS to buy shower trim to match what was previously purchased. I talked to Jose on Monday this week about what I was looking for, and he promised to send photos and pricing after he finished with his present customer. It is now Wednesday, and I've not heard a word from him. He didn't even knowledged my emails from Monday that showed what I was hoping to buy. I have decided not to call AGAIN to ask for reasonable customer service. I will take my business elsewhere.
As much as I LOVE the showroom, the abundance in manufacturers and plumbing selections, (even Jose's knowledge of product, installation and nice discounts), it is not worth it. I do not want to give my business to a company where I am not treated as a valued customer with common courtesy and respect. Instead I have been ignored and treated as a nuisance, an after-thought with me 'begging' to be serviced. Shame on you, Jose, and BPS.
