I purchased Miele dishwasher from Lars Appliance in June 2025 after my old dishwasher started leaking. My major complaint is that, although they sell Miele appliances, their sales team doesn’t know much about them. I gave the salesperson the dimensions of my old (hardwired) dishwasher and he told me that only 3 or 4 dishwashers could fit into the space. At the time I didn’t question what I was told because I assumed they knew what they were talking about, but it turned out that the salesperson didn’t know much about Miele appliances. They cannot be hardwired. They can only be plugged in. I even emailed the salesperson team later to confirm that Miele can be hardwired and they confirmed it can. Well, the installer confirmed that hardwiring the dishwasher voids the warranty. He did install the outlet free of charge because I had a confirmation from the sales team that I asked the question earlier, but I am not happy with the machine I ended up with. There are no issues with washing, but the racks are not as good as they are in the newer models. I wasn’t offered all the options because the salesperson thought the machine can only be hardwired. I had no issues with the company. They were always very responsive, the installer arrived when he was scheduled and the machine has been working without any issues. It’s just that they should be more knowledgeable about the basics of the high end appliances they are selling.
