We are here from out of town and wanted to check out some sewing shop. California sewing and vacuum has a nice selection of fabrics and several different brands of thread. They were very friendly and helpful!

We have been quilting for years and years. Moved to San Jose and we were so happy to find Ca. Sewing and Vacuum! Our first visit we were impressed - we bought a boat load of merchandise! And we went back a week later for a Fabric Run ....fans for life. Our Miele Vac Cleaner needed some attention and bam! It was fixed and running! Yay!

I brought three machines in To be repaired. I knew one was broken. For the second machine, I just wanted to know if it was worth buying the missing cord because it was very old and have not been used in a long time. The third machine I told them I wasn’t sure If it was broken or not, because I never figured out how to use it. I may have put the bobbin in wrong. I may have put in a needle that didn’t fit. I knew I had the wrong quilting foot and had then purchased the correct one. It could just be that the bobbin was in wrong or I put in the wrong needle. I was told there were several machines in front of me and it would be a few days before they could get to it and then they would call me. When they called they only had information about one machine, the one that I said I wasn’t sure if it was broken or not. He said it would be $300 to repair but when I asked what was wrong with it he Wasn’t able to tell me anything. He said they just take it apart and put it back together so they don’t have any information about what’s wrong with it. What was the point of leaving it with Them Four days if they didn’t do anything to find out what was wrong. If they knew before taking it apart that they were gonna charge me $300. It seems like they could’ve told me that when I left it. The repairman was also very unfriendly.

I was having more problems typing this review than the finding and replacing of the main belt for my Bissell carpet cleaner, thanks to the professional and quick tall gentleman at California Sewing and Vacuum who helped me. Not finding one on the store racks, he went into the back and immediately returned with my Bissell's replacement part. My thanks to this gentleman for his professionalism and speed. And a hugh thanks for his kindness.
