Highly recommend Appliances by Design! I am the owner of a long-term rental company and we manage properties throughout HHI and Bluffton. Appliances by Design is our go-to for repairs and appliance replacements for those properties! They are amazing. They respond quickly, offer fair pricing, and their techs are well-trained and professional! They have also done work for me personally and provided excellent service!

Extremely poor customer service. Contractor came out for my washing machine. Told me some parts needed to be replaced but for meantime I could run small loads. When he left I ran a small load and it didn’t work. Called him back out and he acknowledged I wouldn’t be able to use it. This company charged me for two visits and management is defending the contractor. I explained to him had the contractor said not to use it, I wouldn’t have tried. But when I’m told I can use it and it doesn’t work, I’m going to inquire. He had it up and running when he was troubleshooting it. I had contacted management for my money back but they refuse to give it to me. Save your headaches and find another local company to use. These guys aren’t worth your time or money. I hope this helps someone from ending up in my situation. 11/22/25 Following up to the businesses response. I am the customer because I am the one who has the issue. You weren’t here when the technician said the washer would work. There is no logical sense in being told something doesn’t work and then immediately calling you back. This is only personal because you decided to double charge and refuse to refund the second charge. I am going out of my way to inform others so they don’t have to deal with you the way I had. I prefer small businesses to large corporations but not your business. You could’ve resolved this a long time ago by owning up to your technicians mistake. It should t have become a big deal but you wanting to put the blame on the customer is only making it worse. Again, I stand by everything I’ve said and how I’ve been treated. Please avoid this company at all costs.

Wish I could give them more than 5 Stars. We purchased our 4th appliance from them and today it was installed (a dishwasher). Chris and Johnnie came to do the installation but ran into a problem due to our old cabinetry. They called Jeremy who gave them direction by phone but within minutes both Jeremy and Harley came to the house to check on progress and assist them. How is that for excellent customer service? They got the job done and even gave us some hints on our upcoming kitchen renovation. This type of great service from purchase to installation has been our story with Appliances by Design and it’s why we will always continue our relationship with them. Great to know we have a local business as great as them at our fingertips! Highly recommend them!!

The staff and owners are amazing. They listen to what your needs are and guide you through the process. We set up outdoor kitchen but because of our space issues they suggested and helped configure with carts. We now have a Hestan, a bit pricey but worth every penny. High sear for steaks - YUM and this Christmas we ventured to rotisserie a 14 pound turkey! Done in 2 hours. Advice here, this could handle 50 pounds but the diameter of the turkey maxed out. The rod could turn but one of the drum sticks was scraping the burner ( I shaved it down a 1/4”). Thank you to Valerie and all her expertise.
