My wife and I went to Lytton’s today to buy a Speed Queen washer and dryer and a GE upright freezer. Upon entering we were met by a little man who sat at a desk just inside and to the left of the store’s entrance. I didn’t get his name but he was bearded and appeared to be in his 30s maybe. For the duration of our time in the store, (approx 15 min) he treated us very rudely, as if he were angry with us just for being there, although we had never met before, nor had we had any conflict whatsoever. It was oddly hostile, for lack of a better term, and puzzling. When it came time to pay the nearly 5K bill, my wife and I looked at each other and, sharing the exact same thoughts, agreed without speaking that we would not be spending our money in a business that tolerated this kind of salesmanship. The great news is that, because of this angry little man, we left Lytton’s and drove a few miles North on Hillside Street to Metro Appliances where we found the EXACT same 3 appliances, ALL at cheaper prices than Lytton’s for an approximate $150 savings. PLUS, unlike Lytton’s, Metro ALSO offered us a U.S. Veteran discount. We were thrilled!!! In the end - Kindness counts. Politeness pays. Manners matter.

Last week, we purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher. We have purchased a number of kitchen and household appliances from Lytton's. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. The prices are also competitive with other local stores. Why go with the big box guys?

My wife and I stopped in to this business establishment about 2 months ago. We looking to buy a new washing machine. The first time we were there, they seem to be helpful. We returned later after taking care of finances, we were going to buy a washing machine that day. Upon walking into this business more than one of the employees looked us up and down like we were a bum off the street. When I asked for the price out the door an older gentleman grabbed his calculator did some quick figures couldn't even answer me and just held it up in the air. I can recommend avoiding this place.

We got a stackable washer and dryer, one that the big stores would’ve had to order and wait weeks to get. Steven and Jacob did an awesome job installing, even came out in the middle of a snow storm. Good prices, didn’t have to wait long for delivery!

Matt was super helpful and knowledgeable. He helped us decide on a washer. He wasn’t pushy on trying to upsell. This place had the best price out of the 3 we looked at. They stayed after closing to go to the warehouse so we could have the washer same day as ours had broken. The older gentleman, maybe the owner, was also very friendly and helpful.
