G & W's Quality Appliance

I have used G&W appliance a couple times and I have had a great experience both times. Their install guys are awesome and they sell quality products not cheap crap. I like the fact that they service too so they know what’s good and what breaks all the time. I really like the install guys. Both times I have had the same guy do the install and he knows his stuff. This is one of the biggest reasons to use G&W. The crew has been there for a long time and there’s not a situation they haven’t seen. Taking door off a new fridge? Yea no problem. Putting them back on without any dents? Yea they got it. The owners seem like good dudes, genuine and they care about service as well as sales. The little shop across from the airport may not look like much, but it’s where I go for Knowledge and experience. The box stores can’t begin to match what these guys can do.

Booked an appointment to have a washing machine diagnosed and repaired (it was scheduled directly through whirlpool). This appointment was booked for 2 weeks. I did receive a confirmation phone call the Saturday before the appointment letting me know someone would arrive between 8am-12pm. When no one had shown up at 12pm I called and was told that he had picked up 2 additional jobs before mine but was on the road and would be here shortly. At nearly 2pm I called again, the receptionist was very friendly and apologetic but informed me that the tech had to go help another tech and he would be about 45 minutes out. Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment. There was absolutely NO communication to me from the tech informing me that he was behind or would be delayed. Totally disrespectful of my time.

Absolutely terrible customer service. They missed first appointment with no call or communication. The second rescheduled appointment they called to find out where to go for appointment whe it was clearly indicated in service request. We are a business that is open from 9:00-5:00 pm and somehow they didn’t know where to go. They give you a 4 hour block to show up but apparently don’t event know where to go for appointments. If you want reliability DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR COMPANY.

We had an appointment today for G & W to service our Maytag front load washer. They were very professional about communication before the appointment, and the technician, Dave, was prompt and courteous. He finished the repair quickly, and left zero mess. Our washer is now good as new. We are very pleased, they exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend this company.

My dealing with this business is a year long situation that was caused by the owner’s son. It started with him and it declined from there. The owner himself was always polite to me, but it was evident he was not happy to have to talk to me. At least he was doing the right thing and being polite, unlike his staff, his son and his daughter-in-law (who was downright nasty to me after referring them). I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. I have no idea how they’re even still open. This is one of the most horrible customer service situations I have ever had. How sad that I’m giving a small business a one star review, as I always like to try and support locally versus going to big box/chain stores. This business reinforced why I will get other appliances from Lowe’s, were they bend over backwards to make sure everything is correct and don’t drag things out for months, and then a year later drag it out again. I truly can’t express how atrocious it was to deal with G&W and the reprehensible behavior of the family members. The lack of professionalism was absolutely baffling. Luckily, I had the plastic scraper you see in the pics because otherwise they would not have been able to get the blue film off and it would’ve dragged this nightmare experience out even more. One of the delivery men was downright rude to me in my own home, snapping at me about what I could and could not do (when I started taking pics). They also left their mess on my kitchen floor. No, they didn’t clean it up, not a single piece. What you see is a fraction of what was on my floor. This was truly one of my worst experiences with a business (big or small).
