Quality of service and expertise are not good in my experience. I took my appliance in recently for diagnostics because I had sudden and complete power loss to the unit. They diagnosed it with a bad board. Quote was $349 total to fix. I decided to pay the diagnostics fee, decline the repair and took it home. I noticed when I got home that the knob was broken off the front of the unit while at the repair shop. I called them to see if it could be replaced, they said it would be replaced if I chose to replace the board. Then I decided to check my circuit breaker. Guess what? The circuit breaker was bad. Okay, admittedly I should have checked that first, but I’m not a service repairman. Anyway, I replaced the circuit breaker and the appliance works fine now, except they broke the knob and a new one is close to $100 to buy. Bottom line: 1. They mis-diagnosed my appliance, and if I would have spent the $349, It still would not have worked when returning it home because the circuit breaker was the real problem. 2. They broke the knob off the appliance in the process of mis-diagnosing it. (This Cost me $89 to replace.) Just wanted to share my experience.

I purchased a used refrigerator from RA in May. Customer service over the phone was a bit confusing, but in the end, they delivered a good product and were helpful. Due to their kind service, I called to support their business and asked for a repair appointment for a garage freezer whose seal had broken loose. I was set for TH between 1 and 3 pm. The tech called (leaving a message on his personal phone) I was tending to my mom in hospice, could not answer on the spot, but I soon called him back. He said he was on his way back to the storefront. (I called back in ten-fifteen minutes). I reminded him that I was on the schedule for a window of time. Why was he leaving to attend all of the 'emergency' orders, which was the reason he excused his absence? He said he'd get me in on Friday (the next day) or on Tuesday next. NO follow-up call. Checked my freezer. Thru the weekend. I relied on his word (albeit hard to pin down with any confidence). Things were getting worse in the freezer. I waited until Tuesday morning to call back. No word from tech (Friday - Tuesday), and by Tuesday, my food items were thawed completely. When I called Tuesday morning, he responded that he was busy and had to tend all the Joplin orders: no customer service, apology, or reassuring words of willingness to help. I, as a customer, was not important enough to be professionally communicated with,. When I said that I may have to get someone else, and that there was a serious timing issue, he simply said: "That's your prerogative", leaving me and my issue without any service. By the time I realized his neglectful attitude, it was too late to get another tech on the job (by this time it had become an emergency, and RA did not care), and now, all the food in my freezer will need to be thrown away. I called the RA number on my voicemail this evening to leave a message about my complaint. The tech told me it wasn't his problem and how dare I call his phone when he was at home and his business was closed. (he needs SERIOUS customer service training) This entire scenario, and the loss of hundreds of dollars of food from the store and garden, could have been prevented had this man not made excuses and neglected his professional courtesies. I might haul all my thawed food to their dumpster and ask for compensation for the food lost due to the tech's negligence. Not to mention that I had to buy a new freezer. I'll let you know how the owners handle this situation, a very grumpy Nixa Community Member.

Great used appliances. Staff takes great care in what they do and offer an amazing alternative to buying new. Help the environment and buy a caringly refurbished appliance.
