I filed a claim, waited 1wk, called the co. They hadn't assigned the claim to a technician yet. A wk later, they gave us the name and number of the technician. I called set up an appointment. He didn't come at the assigned time he got there that night at about 8:45 pm. He tested the oven, wrote down some numbers collected the $125. and left. After another week I called the Co. They said he never filed the diagnose claim showing he had even been here. The rep. call him, he said he would file it in 10 mins She said after they review it, they would email us. Week 4, we looked on line this morning and the claim has been closed. No explanation, just closed. We're out of $125. and the oven still doesn't work. What the ?. I'm so pissed right now. This is the 2nd time this has happened. The last time it took this same technician about 5wks to complete a task. And to think we left AHS after 20 yrs. They're just as shoddy. I'm beginning to think these warranty co. are all a scam. As soon as they open, I will be calling.

In my opinion, Service Plus Warranty is a scam. I would not recommend Service Plus Warranty to anyone. We have been paying into their program for nine months and made every payment on time. When we finally needed to file a claim for problems with the pipes in our home, our claim was denied. We were told that the damage was caused by rust and corrosion and therefore was not covered. This was never clearly explained to us when we purchased the warranty. It feels very misleading to pay month after month for coverage, only to be told that the issue is excluded when you actually need help. Based on our experience, Service Plus was happy to take our money but unwilling to provide the coverage we expected when it was time to file a claim. We feel completely disappointed and frustrated by the way our claim was handled. In our experience, this company operates like a scam, and we would not recommend it to anyone. Be sure to read every exclusion and limitation in the contract before purchasing a warranty from this company.

If if I could give this company a negative one I would! 50% of the time they do not have technicians assigned within 48 hours. When you do get your own technician, they then attempt to lowball them into providing you a Lowball offer and in both cases instead of providing you with genuine parts, they want to ship used or OEM parts to your house delaying the fixed. In my case for in two months, I had two issues with my air-conditioning and have an 80 year-old mother here on chemotherapy. They did not care. Their priority was to order a cheaper part. On the first visit, they assigned a technician who did not properly diagnose on the first visit, charged me to return the next day to complete the diagnosis and refuse to give me back my money. Less than two months later, the exact same part that he supposedly fixed was broken due to improper installation. The new technician found the screw for the part in side of the HVAC unit loose. I spent a week with no HVAC because I was going back-and-forth with service plus over covering the charges. I got every attempt to not pay the service one. They said they were not liable for changes for other technicians. Then they realize their mistake because it was their technician and tried to get me to accept a lowball offer that was worth less than half of what I paid to get a real technician to come out and fix it. Their technician returned back and attempted to fix his issues and once again only caused further harm. The entire unit instead of just making loud noises now, did not even turn on or blow air. Fortunately, the prior technician that I hired agreed to return and fix the issue caused by their technician for the second time in a row. He was purely unprofessional and as a woman, I asked them to not send him there because I did not feel like arguing with a technician in my home a male technician. The customer service here sucks and they spent 30 minutes, transferring me back-and-forth while I tried to get authorization for an approval now they are saying that they automatically renew your entire policy for a year versus monthly and I have to wait until an exact date to cancel my policy in this. I was told three different things. Also, I was once told that I could stop early by paying a $50 cancellation fee. That was not offered.

Don't do it! Every time I need something serviced, they can never find a technician in my area. They then off me a $200 reimbursement. If I wanted to find a technician every time I had an issue, I wouldn't pay you to do it. Then what if the repair or replacement cost more?????? I spoke to them on one occasion ready to cancel my policy (mid term) and the gentleman said he could waive the cancelation fee but he convinced me to stay. When I got good and fed up and called again to cancel, the gentleman said that I couldn't not cancel and had to stay until the contract is up. At this point I am wasting my money. They money I am paying them can be used towards the repair. I had another company before and they were great. I changed due to their rising cost. But I guess you get what you pay for.

If you are looking for a company that will leave you shivering in the cold while they count your premium money, look no further than ServicePlus. My experience with them has been nothing short of a financial nightmare. During the dead of winter, my AC/Heating unit failed. Instead of honoring the contract I paid for to ensure my home remained livable, ServicePlus engaged in the ultimate "low-ball" tactic. The Reality Check: The Assessment: The initial assessment was $1,300, second assessment of the unit required a $3,000 repair to function. The "Offer": ServicePlus offered a measly $300. The Result: Because their "coverage" was effectively non-existent, I was forced to out-of-pocket $8,000 for a full replacement just to keep my family warm. A home warranty is supposed to provide peace of mind; ServicePlus provides nothing but fine-print excuses and insulting settlement offers. Offering $300 for a $3,000 repair isn't a service—it’s a SCAM designed to hope the customer just gives up and goes away. Do not trust this company with your home or your money. They are happy to take your monthly payments, but when it’s time for them to step up, they will leave you out in the cold—literally. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
