The store owner left the shop unlocked and unattended. We assumed someone would arrive shortly, so we went inside and looked around at some items. Later, one person came, left a note, and walked away. We also started writing a note because no one had shown up. Shortly afterward, two women arrived, made a phone call to someone (we assume it was the owner), and then took photos of us. We had no idea why they were photographing us, and it made us feel extremely uncomfortable. This situation was completely unacceptable. The owner left the store open, failed to be there, and did not answer the phone despite our repeated calls. Because of what happened, we felt we had no choice but to leave while those two women were still inside. From that moment on, I cannot be held responsible for anything that happened in the store. This level of negligence is unacceptable. We left feeling frightened and deeply regretted that we had entered the store at all. I even felt it was necessary to call the police because the entire situation made us feel unsafe. This was an extremely irresponsible way to operate a business and it put innocent customers in a very difficult and uncomfortable situation.

Great experience buying a dryer as a gift for a friend to fit in a tricky spot. Not pushy on sale at all and had lots of very helpful advice on how to get it in the spot easily and properly. Stayed open past their closing to make sure we were taken care of and made sure we knew it worked before leaving. Will definitely be back if we need something in the future! Thanks again.

Editing original review: After some communication issues about a stove that was malfunctioning, Almonte did come and repair the stove and now it works. Because there was some tension in the initial call and the owner being what I considered rude I am upping my original 1 star review to what I would consider a 2.5 (not an option so I gave it 3) it sill falls short of a perfect 5. Tone of voice and how you respond to customers can give either a negative or positive impression. In the original case when conversations began, it felt negative as I felt he was treating me like I didn't know how to operate the over. After a contentious back and forth a repair man showed up today and in fact diagnosed the issue as a faulty igniter. I feel had the owner or whoever I spoke listened to what I was telling them instead of jumping to conclusions this could have been resolved amicably days ago. In the end they did come and fix it, and it works, but I am not going to lie... I am afraid if another issue happens will I have to go through this again? once the warranty period is over I will definitely not return to do business with Almonte. Kind of sad as when I met the owner in the store and picked out the fridge and the stove he was so nice. Maybe it was a bad day when I called about the issue but still you need to treat your customers with respect all the time. Good word of mouth goes further than bad.

I purchased my first refrigerator at a very reasonable price!! Very friendly and outgoing staff that goes out of their way to make females and others feel comfortable. Very informative experience, from measuring properly and other requirements for different appliances. Delivery guys were professional and efficient, in and out. Received a 1 year warranty on this fridge. Thanks for providing an amazing experience! Hoping for the best!

They are husband and wife team i believe. Very good service! I live an hour away and although shipping was a bit pricey it was a steal for what I'm getting. Whirlpool washer and dryer with 1 year warranty. They've got layaway but what was even better is that they've got a deal with Acima and it was a very simple process! The delivery fee, set up fee, and removal of my old appliances was a great deal and it's all included through Amica! If you set up for the 90 day same as cash it's great. But, the only draw back would be that if you miss one payment it rolls over to the 12 mon financing fee which is a bit pricey. Had i to do over I would've just made the extra payments just in case instead of signing up for the automatic withdrawal for the 90 days and kept it the 12 month just because anything could happen. You do need a checking account. Small deposit and then 2/3 days and delivered. Also, the great part is if you get say approval for say 1,800 (more or less) and you only use a portion of... You can transfer the remaining to another company that uses this company as well!! So not so bad ay. They were very informative and very considerate and kind. It was well worth the drive and they've loads to choose from! Mines are scratch and dent but can't even see the scratch. I'm very happy!
