Purchased brand new dryer in March. After 4 cycles throwing an error code and not working. 2 service calls. Replaced 2 boards. Still not working. Now they say, well, maybe the wiring harnesses are bad will need to order and yet another service call. Maybe another 2 weeks can't say when part will come in and schedule again. Whirlpool, after calling them, states sorry, per our warranty policy we need to replace parts until we say there is nothing left to do but send you a replacement. This is horrendous and unacceptable. $1200 door stop, stopped working after a week....been 8 weeks and still not repaired. Send me a replacement or give me a refund on this lemon--instead they continue to just shotgun repairs and in the meantime, we are left with an unusable machine and $1200 lighter in the pocket book. No customer should have to go through this. Whirlpool doesn't care even after escalating calls and speaking with 3 different people. All you get is, sorry this happened but our policy is to replace parts not the machine.

Bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator (model WRQC7836RZ00) last December and have an extended warranty. We’ve had 5 replacement doors on the left side and we’re told repeatedly that the unit is working as it should. The door continues to swing shut while you try to access it and then when you want it to shut it has to be slammed shut. If that is working as designed the unit design was defective. I am not happy with Whirlpool and their “customer service” or their product.

NEW UPDATE, 7/12/25: We ended up buying a Speed Queen. I washed the load that the Whirlpool could not wash no matter what I tried. The Whirlpool would not wash the blanket by itself. It would not wash it with bed sheets added to the load. It would not wash it with other items added to the load. It not only got off balance every time I tried to wash the blanket, the machine actually walked across the floor from the vibrations of the spin cycle before it would get off balance and reset itself to 30 minutes. The Speed Queen washed it without ever getting off balance. UPDATE: Whirlpool sent out their technician to determine if anything was wrong with the washing machine. There were no error codes, so there was nothing for the technician to repair; therefore, they will not issue a return authorization code even though the washing machine will not wash our bedding. I have now donated the three week old washer/dryer to Habitat for Humanities. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again. I purchased a Whirlpool washer/dryer on May 21. I did not use it until we returned from a vacation on May 27. I did not wash our bedding until May 31. The washer never could finish the load. It kept getting off balance, and resetting itself to 30 minutes. After five attempts to reposition the laundry, I gave up and put it in the dryer. Whirlpool requires Lowe's (where I purchased the washer/dryer) to call their Trade Team and request a return authorization code before they will refund me my money. Lowe's will not call and request the return authorization code because their policy is after 48 hours, the customer has to deal directly with the manufacturer. Whirlpool will not give a customer the code, and will only give it to Lowe's. I am stuck with a $2,500 washer/dryer that cannot wash our bedding. By the way, I have been washing this particular bedding every other week for fifteen years in my old washer/dryer.

I’m going on my 3rd washing machine they have replaced due to poor quality plastic parts, family of 2 doing 3 loads of wash per week. Was told that it’s going to take 2.5 weeks to get an appointment with service to diagnose the issue. Then another 2 weeks to get the parts and schedule the service. If you’re going to buy Whirlpool or Maytag, make sure you have another washer that you can use between repairs.

10K worth of appliances in a new home and 1 year and 3 weeks after moving in their defective products are not honored. In the year since I moved in, I have had to have a noisy refrigerator repaired, a smart dishwasher leaking onto my hardwood because of a defective hose, and a smart double convection oven which basically doesn't scan but a handful of barcodes. Now I have a microwave that is not supposed to be able to put the tones into silent mode, which magically now is in silent mode and they can't even tell me how to get get it out of silent mode and won't warranty ir because it is 2 weeks out of warranty. DON'T BUY WHIRLPOOL!
