Harvest Right

I purchased this freeze dryer to not only up my pantry game, but I also run the Sandy Ridge Farmstand in North Idaho and my daughter has a food truck. It began with the idea of freeze dried candy but it has became so much more! It works perfectly to preserve nearly anything we can't eat or get to saving us so much in waste not to mention income from offering candies and more!

I recently purchased the small freeze dryer directly from Harvest Right, and it was delivered in excellent condition with all accessories included. I initially experienced an issue with the vacuum system, but a Harvest Right representative quickly helped me identify the problem—it turned out to be related to the door seal. The representative sent clear, easy-to-follow videos showing how to adjust the hinge screws and door latch. Both adjustments were simple to make and completely resolved the issue. I’ve since completed the initial freeze-drying batch using bread, as recommended in the start-up guide, and have now started my next batch using produce from my garden. I’m very excited to have another effective way to preserve my harvest. Harvest Right provided very clear, step-by-step instructions for operating the machine from start to finish. Based on my recent experience, I feel confident that if I have any future questions or need assistance, their support team will be there to help.

I purchased the small Harvest Right freeze dryer and am delighted with it! I have a small apartment and the unit fits nicely on the kitchen counter with a narrow unit beside to accommodate the pump. The quality of the appliance and accessories is top notch, customer service is great, emails are answered quickly and with follow-up to make sure the customer is satisfied. The Harvest Right app is very helpful with 24/7 access to help and tips on freeze drying many foods. My only regret is that I don't buy it sooner!

Thanks Alexis, We appreciate you keeping in touch while we worked through the trouble shooting steps on our freeze dryer. We ran the water test, then the leak test, but still had a vacum error. We made a decision on our own to replace the valve with a new brass fitting because the valve was getting hard to open and close. We discovered it was completely rusted out. The brass valve purchased at the building supply store solved the problem and now the freeze dryer is running perfectly. We appreciate the phone calls and text messages to stay in touch while we worked things out. You were very helpful and patient throughout the process. I wish the warranty on this machine was longer. We also wish there was a complete tutorial in set-up and use in the beginning, included in the cost of the machine. It would have been really nice to have clear, specific instructions and written manuals with clear photos of every step right from the beginning. A guidebook for vacum error messages with trouble shooting steps would also be helpful. All of our problems popped up after just one year of use. Most expensive appliances have longer warranties. Some retailers now offer warranties when you purchase a freeze dryer from them instead of HR. Maybe that's food for thought with future marketing.

We’re retired and have had a four tray, medium size Harvest Right freeze dryer for six years. It is solid and still looks new. The only two things that have needed replacement with so much use from our 1 acre garden and orchard is a new sealer and pump. The sealer is so worthwhile. The oil pump is a bit noisy, but overall trustworthy. We’ recommend Harvest Right products.
