Appliances On Lakeside

I’ll never go to Appliances at Lakeside again. We purchased an ASKO dishwasher from them the beginning of April and it was a lemon. When it arrived the unit was bent and wouldn’t open or close properly. We called the store right away and they refused to take the unit back, even though we were within the 72 hour window. The salesman Casey refused to take our calls (always “with another customer, out for lunch . . .- you know the story). the US company Pinnacle, which handles ASKO, sent a repair company who ordered new parts, which turned out to be back ordered for six weeks. Finally, Pinnacle sent us an email that they were replacing the unit. Lakeside Appliances refused delivery of the replacement unit because they said they were not authorized to be paid for the installation, a false claim because they had been emailed (cc: to me) by Pinnacle that agreed to the payment. After a further delay, the new unit was delivered to our front porch, arriving in early July. Finally installed July 5. Overall, What terrible customer service. My recommendation: don’t buy from Lakeside appliances, and don’t consider an ASKO dishwasher.

When we were in need of a new refrigerator quickly, Casey patiently talked through some options with me over the phone, gave me some great advice, and we had our new refrigerator the next day! So happy with the service we received. The delivery guys did a great job as well and were careful while navigating through some tight spots to bring the refrigerator in. Highly recommend Appliances on Lakeside!

If you buy from here hope your appliance doesn't break. Bought an Asko dishwasher in December and it stopped working on February 16th. Believe the other bad reviews about their customer service, now under new management Jason Medico, sales Casey Franz. We went over a month of downtime and zero proactive communication from the store. It shouldn’t the customer’s job to chase down management for updates on a defective product. On March 2nd RVA Repairs, Lakeside’s Asko service third party came for ten minutes and said they didn’t know the problem and said would order a new main board, UI board, and latch but wasn’t 100% sure that would fix it which would also be another two week turn around time to order/ship the parts and fix. Ended up having Asko send a replacement on March 9th with Lakeside Appliance’s contractor who they’ve worked with for “over 30 years” to install it the next week. No service window was provided for when the plumber contractor would come to install new dishwasher. Had to call Appliances on Lakeside to contact them to let me know when the installation time window was. Kevin, the contractor, scratches the front of the dishwasher right off of the van and scratches the doorhandle while installing it. Avoid this store if you value follow-through and reliability.
