Save Your Money and Your Lawn: SBS is an Absolute Joke! If you value your hard-earned money and your property, avoid SBS at all costs. Go to Lowe’s instead. Here is the absolute disaster of an experience I just endured: The Price Gouging: I bought Trex decking here, only to discover SBS charged me nearly double the price of what Lowe’s charges for the exact same product. Property Damage & Zero Communication: The delivery driver didn't bother to call before arriving. Instead, he took it upon himself to plow his truck straight across my front yard and dump the boards directly onto my lawn. Gaslighting Customer Service: When I called to address this, I was met by a remarkably rude, confrontational dispatcher who straight-up called me a liar. She claimed the driver tried to call and it "just rang." Absolute garbage. I had been awake since 6:00 AM eagerly waiting for this delivery, and my phone log shows zero missed call. Abysmal customer service, a toxic dispatcher, a careless driver, and extortionate prices for identical competitor products. We will never spend another dime at SBS. What a pathetic excuse for a business.

Retail employees give no direction to customers and send them thru the yard to figure out the parts needed, despite having clear cut sheets. What’s the point of an inventory when they send their customers to find a specific photo of the label for them? Only saving grace were the yard guys, who were very sweet and helped cleared up the chaos.

If you're building a small or massive project then you'll find all the materials at SBS. There are two locations in Anchorage; this location doesn't have the vinyl siding, so you'll need to visit the other location at 7828 Lake Otis Pkwy. This location is open on Sundays, unlike the other location. Plenty of parking at this location! Sadly this location has really tall stairs and the ramp is narrow, steep, and far away from the main entrance. If your legs are sore from a workout; if you suffer from a physical issue that requires handrails; or if you're in a wheelchair then you'll want to use the entrance near Tudor Road and not the main entrance.
