After a horrendous experience with another company *cough (Lowe’s), Coastal Appliance Co. truly came to the rescue. This turned out to be the best experience I’ve ever had with any company. The day I called in a panic, hoping they might have a non-ventilated washer and dryer, they didn’t hesitate, they offered next-day delivery. That kind of responsiveness is rare. A HUGE mahalo to John Medrano for consistently getting back to me so quickly and making sure we had a washer and dryer ASAP. And a BIG mahalo to the delivery team, Noah and George they handled the installation flawlessly and brought such great ALOHA to the whole experience. They also spoke very highly of their team and owner Rebecca there at Coastal Appliances. In my opinion, that says ALOT! Honestly, I’d give them 10/10 stars if I could. Definitely learned my lesson, support local whenever you can! 100% I will always always choose to shop here first! Mahalo again!!!!!

We would like to give a BIG 5-STAR shout out to Sierra, et al at Coastal Appliance Company. Our 10-year-old fridge sprung a leak, so we decided to replace it rather than have it repaired for a 2nd time. We saw a clip on the news announcing the opening of Coastal Appliance on Kapiolani Blvd. and decided to check it out. At first approach, it can be intimidating as it is a beautifully designed showroom. Too boogie (as my son would say) for us local seniors, so we thought. As we walked in, Sierra greeted and welcomed us. She immediately put us at ease. They are very technology oriented in their approach but not in an uncomfortable or overwhelming way. Needless to say, we found our fridge. It was in stock, and we arranged for delivery the next week. Ben, Noah, and Phil took great care maneuvering up the stairs and installing the fridge, even down to polishing it. They were very professional and friendly. What I noticed and appreciated was that they kept updating us on the delivery time and did not rush the process, wanting to “dig out” as fast as they could as others have been. They removed our old fridge, and everything went smooth and painless from beginning to end (sales, delivery, and installation). We’re just waiting for our Hawaii Energy rebate for which Sierra explained and sent us the link to make sure we filed it. Her follow up to make sure the delivery/install went well was also very much appreciated. This is what we call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE which, unfortunately, is a dying “thing” nowadays. But NOT at Coastal Appliance. Mahalo plenty to the entire team.

Coastal Appliance made the washer and dryer shopping experience quick, efficient, and stress-free. Their beautiful new showroom in Honolulu was easy to navigate, and the staff helped me pick the perfect unit without hassle. They offered next-day delivery and installation—something you rarely get from big-box stores. The delivery team was extremely professional and respectful, even removing their shoes before entering the house. After a five-day fiasco at Lowe’s, where I was sold a lemon, it was clear that choosing a local business like Coastal Appliance was the better decision. If I had gone with them from the start, I would’ve saved so much time, money, and frustration. Supporting local isn’t just about community—it’s about quality, efficiency, and peace of mind.
