Used to recommend this company to everyone - never again!
Many appliances over the years, but with the past the few, the track record has gotten steadily worse. Sales people always helpful, but service and repairs are beyond inefficient. Is this on purpose? It's broken so just buy something new?
Two weeks ago our well rated GE washer, not old, stopped working. Initially seemed to be no big deal, they sent someone the next day. Super young guy. Diagnosed replacing ALL 3 circuit boards. Told 1-3 business days to have parts.
5 days later wondering what is going on, called and was told that they hadn't even ordered parts yet , because of a 'communication issues' with the warranty people. I then called the warranty people myself and got whatever 'glitch' the repairs manager was talking about cleared up in about 20 minutes. Then they couldn't schedule the repairs for another 5 days.
Fast forward to 10 days with no washer. Same young guy and an older guy finally come with the parts predicted by the younger guy.
Guess what? 2-3 hours later, and they still couldn't figure it out. Best possible NEXT part arriving would be an additional 4 days, (and they couldn't be sure if that would fix the problem) putting us at 2 weeks or even longer with no washer. Family of 5.
So bit the bullet and asked the service manager if we should just buy a new washing machine instead? Was it a dud ? What did he think? The service manager actually blew me off ....said he couldn't answer the question . Didn't try to assess the problem. Didn't transfer me to someone who could help. No one even called me back from sales despite his assurances they would. Talk about fabulous customer service.
Completely frustrated, I gave up. I went to Loews. I bought a new washer. And guess what? They have next day delivery. Man oh man!
How can you expect people to 'support local' when a company can't support the customer paying the bill? Who has time in a busy working family life to chase down these people and wait for them to still to not be able to do their job? Save yourself the headache. Go to Loews.
