On May 28th we moved from the home we built 50 years ago to a home in Delphi, IN. Prior to the move I contacted Beeson's as I needed a washer and dryer that could be delivered and installed in our new home. We settled on a Speed Queen washer and dryer set and Beeson's had it in stock (Home Depot and others had to order them for a 3-4 week later arrival). We choose Beeson's. Paula was so very helpful in helping us decide which washer & dryer would be best for us. In order for the delivery to be scheduled she informed me that I would need to pay for the set prior to being scheduled. I told her our move was scheduled for Thursday, May 28 and said I would be there that day to pay for the items. Since we were located about an hour and a half away and in CST she said if it was close to Beeson's 5:00 PM EST close time that if she knew I was on the way in she would gladly wait for me to arrive. She went out of her way to help; however, I arrived about 4:50 but she took care of everything even though it was after 5 when we finished. I was hoping for a delivery of Friday, May 29, but was told it would be Tuesday, June 2, in the afternoon between 1-4. On Tuesday afternoon about 3:50 I received a phone call from the delivery team for Beeson's saying they would be arriving in about 20 minutes. They came, unpacked the dryer and began installing. They then started on the washer but informed us upon unboxing it that it was significantly damaged and they could not deliver it nor install it in that condition. There were two young men (Caleb and Joey) that came and they knew exactly what they were doing and how to do it. One of them told me they would be going back to Beeson's and getting another new boxed machine and returning yet that day to install it. He said he would be missing his son's softball game but that it was his job to see that customers were treated well and would be returning in about an hour and 20 minutes with the washer. I thanked him and appreciated them. At about 4:55 I got a phone call from the young man explaining that his manager would not let them return the same day with the washer and that also would not be done the next day as he was told that it wasn't efficient as they had a delivery going to Delphi 2 days later on June 4th and our new, now quite late washer, would be delivered on June 4th. I asked for his manager's name and he gave it to me as Lori Shuee, the owner of the company. I ended up speaking to her and expressing my disappointment to which she told me .... that coming the next day wasn't efficient for them. I stated that as a new, first time customer moving to the area I was quite disappointed with her decision. I felt and feel that her employees tried and had true customer service, offering to wait until arrived (Paula) and coming back to deliver the replacement for the badly damaged new washer they originally had to deliver but that she wasn't interested in customer service at all, only their bottom line dollars as it was "better for them (Beeson's)" to wait to deliver our replacement until they had something else scheduled for delivery in Delphi - 2 days later. That showed absolutely no concern for us as the customer who had paid for both new items on May 28th. This would have been a 5 star rating if it didn't have to include the owner's decision and vocalized reasoning to me to explain that it wasn't efficient for them....I as a customer experienced a high level of customer service from the employees of Beeson's, which apparentely are not the views of the management. I can not say enough about my experience wtih the employees and would recommend considering taking a good look at this company for your appliance needs knowing that good customer service lies solely with the employees and not as an overall management philosophy.
