*LONG POST ABOUT MY RECENT EXPERIENCE WITH GONZALES NEW & USED FURNITURE * I would just like to give a review on the service & RACISM I just received from Gonzales New & Used furniture in St Amant. I went in Saturday to look at washer & dryer. I called back to purchase it over the phone yesterday. Everything went smoothly, they charged me for the set plus $100 for same day delivery AND set up. I paid over the phone with my card with no problem at around 12:00 pm, they showed up to deliver after 4:30pm. When they came in they were very nice and friendly. They noticed they forgot the power cord. He told me he’d bring it back, the delivery driver even called me to verify I’d be home for him to come back. He never came back, so I called today about them sending someone out to bring the cord and finish set up BECAUSE I WAS CHARGED FOR IT. I called this morning to speak with the owner and he basically told me the set up and chord was a courtesy & gift I should have been grateful for. I told him I wouldn’t be able to come get it today because they will be closed when i get off work. The man told me he wasn’t sending anyone out till tomorrow, that doesn’t work for my schedule. The OWNER ED himself then chuckled on the phone saying “baby I’m just being honest he was scared to come back to your neighborhood baby, he’s a white boy…”. Then he had his staff in the background laughing too. I’m so offended because I live in an apartment complex with MULTIPLE races & the kids that were playing outside reflected that when he came to set it up! I’ve been working in customer service and with the public since I was 17 years old and have never witnessed such racism! I do not recommend spending money here unless your prepared to face this in 2023!!!!!! Ridiculous!

They have some pretty side tables but everything is very highly priced a couple hundred more dollars and I could get the appliance I needed brand new... I honestly wouldn't pay the asking price for items here, sorry guys. The lady at the front was super sweet though and even recommended me to a appliance repair place and wrote the number down for me. Very sweet !

Mr. Eddie was super helpful. No pressure sales. Took his time to explain the pros and cons of different furniture. Excellent selection of of mattresses. Took time to show us different mattresses options. We bought two mattresses and saved a lot of money.
