Constant restocking of product will help business immensely. Not very helpful staff on hand so I usually just give to the location in the Falls. Overhaul or retraining of customer service reps would be recommended to maintain business in this small town and of course the store hours are inconvenient.

I’ve shopped at this RONA for many years. It’s small, convenient, independently owned, and I’ve never had any issues. I’m a low maintenance customer and never make a fuss — but yesterday’s experience is worth sharing. I purchased six patio stones in total — four 24x24 slabs and two larger rectangular ones. As always, the service inside the store was excellent. Jeff was great, as usual. After paying, I was directed to the back to pick up the stones. In the past, staff have always loaded them into my vehicle and usually insist I don’t help. Yesterday was different. A younger employee came out to assist. He had a bit of an attitude — maybe a bad day, maybe just not suited for customer service. He showed me where the stones were. He struggled with the larger rectangular stones, so I ended up helping him and guiding him on how to lift and place his side properly so they wouldn’t drop into the trunk. Then, with the 24x24 slabs — which aren’t that heavy — he could barely carry them. Instead of placing them gently into the trunk, he set one on the edge of the interior and pushed it in, scratching the inside of the car. Immediately after, he walked off to check his phone, noticed the battery had died, and loudly yelled the F word. He apologized, but at that point I just wanted to leave. He said he was “trying to be somewhat professional.” This was the first time I’ve ever had a negative experience at this location. The store staff inside continue to be excellent, but the yard service yesterday was disappointing and well below the standard I’ve come to expect.

The people here are great, same with all the products. But displaying a “Go Sabres Go” sign when you’re in Canada is a disgrace.

Very badly merchandised. For weeks my daughter and I had been eyeballing some colored lights for our garden. They were shown as being 19.99. So finally we went to get them yesterday after setting up our garden archway. She is four. She had picked them out and she was thrilled. We got to the cash and I was utterly flabbergasted to be told I needed to pay $150 something. Come to find out, these lights had been improperly merchandised for over three weeks. They offered to drop the price to 40/box but as a single mom who cleans houses for a living, there was no way. She cried and so did I. If it had just been a mere issue of the box having been erroneously put there for a short time, it would have been one thing. However, my daughter and I had been saving for those lights for two weeks based on that price. I took this picture on April 24 during our second trip to the store after seeing them the first time because I kept forgetting the price. This incident happened May 4. Perhaps the rest of the facility is immaculate. I will say for me, that whatever good experiences we had had were completely erased because this was not my fault, and I was made to feel foolish for even thinking that that could have been the price. It was their error, a longstanding error, and I was left with a heartbroken child. I will not be back.

This store is small with limited inventory, but the personal service is excellent. Recently we were shopping in the paint department and the lady was super helpful. Also the SICO paint is perfect for our kitchen cabinets.
