We had a very disappointing experience at Electronic Express in Hamilton Place while shopping for a TV worth over $1,000+.
The salesperson helping us was actually very nice and professional. He answered a lot of our questions about quality, price, delivery, and installation. There were a few questions he wasn’t sure about, which is completely understandable, so he said he would ask his manager.
We were standing all the way in the TV section, and he asked us to come to the front because his manager was there. When we got there, the manager was literally sleeping at the table. The salesperson called his name twice and the manager didn’t even react. After finally waking up, instead of helping us professionally, he had a terrible attitude—like we were bothering him in his own home.
The first thing he said was basically, “I have 2 minutes, what do you want to buy?” That is not how you treat customers who are seriously shopping and ready to spend over $1,000. We felt completely disrespected and unwelcome, as if we were trying to buy a $1 candy instead of a major appliance/electronics purchase.
Because of the manager’s rude behavior and attitude, we ended up leaving without buying anything.
I do want to say that Robert was excellent. He previously helped us with buying a fridge, washer, and dryer, and he was professional, helpful, and respectful. Honestly, Robert should be the manager if this is how current management behaves.
Very poor management experience, and because of that, we took our business elsewhere.
