We had a great experience purchasing a new stove from Amundson’s. The website was great in helping narrow down our search, the guys worked quickly to move the unit from Rice Lake to Eau Claire, and the delivery was on time and very professional. Beats the big box stores with excellent service!

Needed a fridge fast after ours failed. The sales team was so helpful and to the point and helped us get a fridge when we needed it most. Thanks again!

Very frustrated with the service here and will not be returning for any appliances ever again. I recommend everyone to go through another appliance store as their service is awful. We bought a dishwasher here and paid for it to be installed. The first time they came out, they said a part was missing and was on back order, so we would have to wait for service to contact us. Weeks passed with no update, so we went into the store to see what’s going on. They said someone will come out tomorrow to finish the installation. They came to our house and said they don’t have the part. They finally told me the part was a simple Shark Bite adapter. Anyone can get this at a hardware store… Then they said they will not finish the job because they are not certified plumbers. So I have to install it myself. Awful company, awful communication, completely unprofessional. Especially since we paid $200 for installation.

This isn’t just a rant, and there are more details to list. This is just my experience and a warning to others. I typically don’t write bad reviews as you see on my profile. To start, I am mechanically inclined, but have to follow warranty rules and three kids limited my free time. A bit long, but here we go… I will NEVER purchase or deal with Amundsons Appliance in Eau Claire again. We bought a GE dryer from Amundsons as we like to support local business as much as possible. The immediate purchase, delivery, and removal of our prior dryer went smooth as a button. We bought the extended warranty, and were happy with our purchase. A few months go by and we notice that clothes aren’t drying after a full cycle and there is minimal lint in the machine trap. Long story short, as a those few months went by I had made multiple calls, 3 tech visits where I had to leave work, I got the same story explained to me like I’m 5 that lint comes from clothes and it is normal. Wild right? Who would have thought? I’ve been doing laundry for over 20 years with different machines in different homes, and never have I seen this before. I was also told, “well that’s just how the new dryers these days work. That dang energy efficiency stuff, ya know.” Huh? You’re kidding right? I have pictures? You’ve seen what’s happening. You even said you would be upset about it too and it’s not normal. I got to the point where I literally begged for help on multiple occasions. Never once did they even attempt to change a single part! I have lint buried like a blanket across our rocks outside, I clean the flap cover that has worked fine the entire 6 years at this home, and I make the journey at minimum monthly even during the winter (where I have to trudge through the snow to the back yard) to clean the flap cover. I called GE and explained what was going on. Told them not to send out Amundsons for a 4th time. They sent out a company called Prime.(not like this a totally easy endeavor either, but this is long enough) They least replaced some plastic parts that hold the lint trap in and he said it is absolutely not normal. It worked again for a month or two and now it’s back to the same old issues. But guess what. Both manufacturers warranty and the extended warranty are expired, GE won’t touch it again, and here we sit. I can’t afford to take anymore time off for tech visits of somebody coming in to tell me how clothes give off lint(mind you we have no new clothes and this happens with all loads) and I’m not fond of having Amundsons come back here. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. This is the short story. Take it for what you will, but I figure I’d warn somebody. Lastly, check your water fittings. This morning I notice they didn’t tighten ours enough and it has been dripping, so I found mold today. This drove this review I have been putting off. Trust but verify. Hope this saves somebody a lot of time and headache. These are old pictures about 2 weeks apart each. The rocks are now covered as I was told by them to use a grateless cover. I’ll have to update with a pic of later. Now it just blows all over my rocks and yard. 7/2/25 - UPDATE I attempted to call the number you provided here twice throughout the day on 6/30/35, and once again on 7/2/25. All three times, I was lead to a message stating that the voicemail box as not been setup. I guess I am not sure what I was expecting, other than being able to at a minimum leave a voicemail, receive a call back, and/or if Renee did answer, maybe just to listen and understand your perspective. At this cross-road, I have already chalked this up as a total loss, so let's just let this lie. I am not ready to commit more time to taking off work to have a repair man stop out again for a fifth time(3 times Amundson's), leave further review edits, or attempt to find a solution that would change my feelings in regard to my civic duty to communicate to others of my terrible experience.
