Would not recommend. Used them for two appliance repair jobs through my home warranty. My microwave was shorting out every time I used it, the tech came and attempted to repair it and it did work properly for a couple weeks, but then broke again - exact same issue. But because it was more than 30 days later when it broke, I have to pay for the entire repair and warranty cost again, even though the issue was clearly never fixed.

A technician first came to my home on June 30 to diagnose my refrigerator, which was making a very loud noise but was still cooling properly. He completely disassembled the refrigerator and, using a translation app because he did not speak English, informed me that all I needed was a new fan. Communication was very difficult throughout the visit. The replacement fan arrived, and the technician returned on July 6 to install it. During the repair, I could hear him becoming increasingly frustrated. After some time, he used his translation app to tell me that the replacement part did not work and that he needed to order a manufacturer part instead. He left without resolving the issue. The following morning, I discovered that my refrigerator was no longer cooling. Before the technician's second visit, the refrigerator was still functioning despite the noise. After the attempted repair, it stopped cooling completely. I immediately contacted Assist Appliance and asked to speak with a manager, TJ. I explained both my concerns about the failed repair and that I was uncomfortable having the same technician return to my home. His frustration during the previous visit made me uneasy, and I requested a different technician. I was told no one else could service my refrigerator because he was the only technician certified to work on my model. Rather than addressing my concerns, I was told another part had been ordered and that I would have to allow the same technician back into my home. I found this response unprofessional and dismissive of my concerns. Every customer should feel safe and comfortable with the person performing repairs in their home, and reasonable requests for a different technician should be taken seriously. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Assist Appliance. If your home warranty company assigns them to your claim, ask about your options before proceeding.
